Magnificent 2 Bed Flat in Elephant & Castle - The Flex London

Positive: The apartment is quite centrally located, and many places can easily be reached on foot. It is also well connected to the bus network. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. I think it’s unfair when people give overly positive ratings that don’t reflect reality, as this only leads to disappointment for others. The rating should be honest and accurate. When I booked the apartment, it had a score of 10! Then one 4 appeared, but it was too late to change... The staff responded quickly and promptly to my calls, trying their best to help. However, it’s frustrating to spend vacation time fixing problems that shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Negative: - The description said that “the kitchen is fully equipped with top-notch appliances, so you can enjoy home-cooked meals.” In reality, this meant scratched pots and pans (which were later replaced), only three types of plates (five of each), no salad bowl, and very limited cooking possibilities. Actually, the pictures show a beautiful table set with elegant plates, but that’s not what you’ll actually get. - The kitchen furniture is damaged from water and is at risk of collapsing soon. - The washing machine, dishwasher, and bathrooms were full of black mold!!! I requested a proper cleaning, which was carried out only partially. - The apartment is advertised as suitable for five people, stating that “the living room is roomy, and I’ve added an air mattress for an extra guest if needed.” However, we couldn’t find the air mattress upon arrival, and it was impossible to sleep on the sofa. In the end, my daughter had to squeeze into my bed. The beds are king-size, as are the duvets, so if you’re traveling with a family, it’s not very practical to have two children share one duvet. - The apartment is very humid, and it’s difficult to ventilate properly, as the smell of mold and dampness permeates throughout. One night, we tried keeping the bathroom window open to air out the space. Unfortunately, some strangers knocked on the door, and when we didn’t respond, they stole our shampoo from the open bathroom window. I would recommend keeping the windows closed at night and when leaving the apartment. I could go on... But considering the apartment's location and the beauty of London, it's truly a shame to rent out a place like this for holidays — especially at that price (even for London).

Location was amazing, so many things to see and visit within walking distance. I cannot say enough about the location!!! Excellent for the price. Apartment was clean and nice, prefect for 4 people but we had 5 and it worked well. Also extremely quiet for being in the middle of London, only a short walk to excellent restaurants, markets, grocery, the underground and even fun local theater that we visited twice in our 10 day visa. My contact was extremely helpful and very responsive and clear. Made the visit easy and comfortable. I can recommend and it would stay here again, and hope to have the same host as they were exceptionally responsive and helpful.
