Negative: No heat or hot water for the entire rental

Positive: Location was pretty convenient, walking distance from Farringdon station and Barbican - This was the main reason I chose the property and it turned out to be the single one positive thing about this property.
Negative: Essential facilities were missing — there was NO heating and NO hot water in the apartment. This meant we had to completely rely on two oil heaters just to sleep at night (the duvet was also very thin), and even then it was still freezing inside. We could NOT shower at all because there was no hot water, which is unacceptable in winter.
We arrived late at night on the first day and were out the whole following day, so we only just managed to get through the first two nights using the oil heaters. We contacted the property immediately to ask for the heating and hot water to be fixed, but they could not give any clear answer on when or even whether maintenance would arrive or be able to fix the issue.
With no basic facilities and total uncertainty, we had no choice but to check out and escape on the third day (after only 2 nights, despite originally booking 6) just to get a shower and some proper rest in a warm place.
We were in frequent communication with the property, who promised to consider a partial refund, but it has now been 8 days with no update at all.
Summary: a disaster. I would strongly advise anyone considering this property in winter to avoid it.

Really bad experience
Negative: The property had multiple serious issues. Heating and hot water never worked, we spent four days in November without either, which also meant no showers.
The apartment was extremely dirty (kitchen and bathroom mostly). The bathtub even had larvae, so we had to buy cleaning products ourselves before realizing the hot water didn’t work. Extra bedding was thrown into a dusty closet, and the kitchen was unclean, making it wise NOT to use the provided cutlery. The oven didn’t function either.
Finally, confirming the stay required a £500 deposit via an external service, which is unbelievable given the condition of the apartment.

A perfect blend of style and functionality!
Positive: The unit was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, giving it a very cozy, homey feel. I especially appreciated the soft linens and the fully stocked kitchen, made cooking a breeze!
